Maryland Purim 2025 / 5785
Purim is a joyful Jewish holiday that commemorates the story of Queen Esther, who used her power to help her community during challenging times. We are packing 420 gift bags to deliver to statewide and Montgomery County elected officials. Join us in packing bags, delivering bags to legislators, donating supplies, or donating money to offset the cost of making all of this happen.
Labor Seder and Social Justice Seder
Each spring, the JUFJ community comes together to retell the story of Passover and take action on local issues in our region. This year, more than ever, we need to remember that every generation has a responsibility to work toward collective liberation. May Day
Celebrate International Workers Day with JUFJ as we march and rally in solidarity with our partners and workers everywhere. Join us at 11:30 AM for CASA's national day of action to demand justice for immigrants, and at 5:00 PM for a rally supporting DC restaurant workers. Buses leave from Baltimore for the CASA rally at 9:30 AM and from Montgomery County at 10:00 AM.
