The Year(s) Ahead for Housing in DC

DC
The Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism
2027 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC

Join JUFJ for a discussion on DC’s housing justice movement under unified Republican control of the federal government. The new administration and Congress have expressed their intent to interfere in DC’s affairs and overturn the will of DC voters, with potentially severe consequences for unhoused people and tenants in DC. Learn what’s at stake, how to mobilize against these threats, and how our community can continue to work for housing justice in the face of challenges.

DC Autonomy and Home Rule Working Group Meeting

DC

With the current presidential administration and Congress, DC's autonomy is under threat. Join this meeting of JUFJ's DC Autonomy and Home Rule Working Group to help us plan how we'll defend DC's right to govern itself.

Speak Truth to Power in DC

DC

One of the most effective ways to speak truth to power is to testify before the DC Council. Hearing the stories and personal narratives of constituents helps move elected officials to take action on the issues that really matter. Join us for a workshop on how to create meaningful written testimony based on your personal story and values. We’ll practice connecting your story to specific issues that are before the Council, and how to make policy change through righteous storytelling.
