Baltimore Movie Screening & Panel Discussion on Black Maternal Health: Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Baltimore Hebrew Congregation 7401 Park Heights Ave, Baltimore, MDFor the past seven years, JUFJ has partnered with Baltimore Hebrew Congregation (BHC) and other local congregations and organizations to observe Dr. King's birthday. This year’s event will feature the film “Birthing Justice,” an award-winning documentary that explores racial disparities in maternal health care. The documentary examines inequitable structures and systems that have resulted in this racial disparity, as well as the movement to fix this broken system.

Montgomery County Council Building 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, MDJUFJ is joining our partners from the Silver Spring Justice Coalition at the County Council Building in Rockville to mobilize against Bill 43-23, which would codify the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). This harmful bill would open the door for a more pervasive police response to crises that involve mental health, behavioral health, and substance use disorder.
