Last week, the County Council approved the preliminary budget for FY22, which passed with FULL funding for the Community Resource Officer (CRO) program, and ZERO funding for culturally competent social workers.
This budget, proposed by the County Executive and approved by the County Council, is a complete disappointment to the students, educators, and community members who have been calling for the full removal of police from MCPS for a year now.
