DC domestic workers deserve the same workplace rights as all other workers. Join Hand in Hand and JUFJ to thank Councilmembers for their support and continue to advocate to pass the Domestic Worker Bill of Rights. We'll meet with employers and other supporters at the Wilson Building and talk with Councilmembers as we advocate to pass the bill before the end of 2022.

Our next full coalition meeting will be on Thursday, November 3 at 4pm on Zoom. We will be joined by some of our national partners who will provide us with a federal update on paid leave efforts and help us view our campaign in the scope of what is happening nationally. We'll also talk about the 2023 Maryland General Assembly and what we'll be doing as a coalition this session.

Folks must attend a Zoom training on Monday from 7-8 PM, and pick up materials at CASA on Sunday from 10 AM - 1 PM, or JUFJ on Monday from 12 PM - 6 PM. This event will be hosted by Councilmember Will Jawando, an outspoken legislative champion of Police Free Schools, and will include a moderated panel about policing in schools following the documentary screening.
