Every child in DC, regardless of their race, family wealth, or zip code, should have access to high quality and affordable early childhood education provided by early childhood educators who are paid fairly. But right now, early childhood educators – mostly Black and Brown women – are underpaid and their jobs are unstable, while most families still can’t afford the childcare their children need. Join JUFJ to learn about the state of childcare in DC, the Birth-to-Three Law, and the continued challenges facing childcare, and what you can do to improve teacher pay and the affordability of childcare.

Every working person deserves to be treated with respect, whether they work in an office, a restaurant, a construction site, or in a home. Unfortunately, domestic workers in DC like nannies, house cleaners, and home health aides don’t have the same legal protections against employment discrimination, harassment, and unsafe workplaces. Join us to learn about this critical labor justice issue and what you can do to support domestic workers in their fight for equal rights.
