On Tisha B’Av (the 9th of the Hebrew month of Av),we observe the tradition of mourning thousands of years of destruction and oppression of our people, from Moses smashing the first two tablets to destruction of both Holy Temples in Jerusalem to subsequent exiles, mass murders, and deportations. Join us Sunday to grieve the broader suffering and destruction around us, through chanting of traditional texts, lifting up demands and voices of those impacted by detention, deportation, imprisonment, and other state violence, and bringing our lamentations to the seats of federal and local power.
As we prepare for Nazis and white supremacists to invade DC on August 12, please join us to learn about structural antisemitism and how it relates to and animates white supremacy and white nationalism. We'll print excerpts of the text, but if you want the full resource for reference, please bring your own copy.

Join JUFJ, along with partners Gather DC and OneTable, on an urban farm in Shaw to celebrate the season's bounty with hands-on workshops and a farm-to-Sukkah feast grounded in the themes of the agricultural harvest festival.
